SAXON Cancel RIVER CITY BIKE FESTIVAL Appearance

British heavy metal veterans SAXON have been forced to cancel their previously announced May 1 appearance at the River City Bike Festival in San Antonio, Texas.

"Due to recording commitments and especially producer availability, SAXON have had to cancel the San Antonio Biker event," reads a statement from SAXON's management on the group's web site. "The band tried really hard to make it happen but unfortunately the producer, a first-class metal producer is only available from mid-April and a split up of studio time is not possible. We hope that the promoter finds an equal band, everybody in SAXON was really looking forward to do it and the fan reactions on the web were really great.

"We will definitely tour the states on the next album, we won't let our American fans down."
